Each cycle begins with a question about something unseen or ignored and then moves into open calls.

A multi-week public exhibition at an accessible venue. Artist talks, portfolio clinics, screenings, panel discussions, and community events designed to bridge practitioners, audiences, and institutions.

Archive & Publication
Every cycle produces a zine, catalogue essay, or research report, written in accessible language, designed to travel, and archived for the long term.
Brikicho 2026 will be African Art Agenda's second iteration of our annual exhibition on Art, Architecture, and Archive. Building on Brikicho's origins as a space of finding, we believe we can bring critical thought around space, culture, craftwork and the undying spirit of the collective into vivid, public view.
